The Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards (TCSA), hosted by the Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy, is one of the most prestigious events recognizing outstanding ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) achievements across industries in Taiwan. This year’s awards ceremony was grandly held on November 20, honoring enterprises with exceptional performance in ESG. Chung Cin Enterprise Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Test Rite Group, was awarded the “Social Inclusion Leadership Award” under the Category of Individual Performance for its outstanding contributions to social inclusion — an impressive recognition as a first-time participant in the competition.

The award was presented by Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Environment, Mr. Yeh Chun-Hung, and received by Mr. Tang-Hsiung Ho, President of Test Rite Group and Chairman of Chung-Hsin Real Estate, acknowledging the company’s long-standing commitment and efforts in advancing ESG.

Leveraging Industry Expertise to Support Vulnerable Groups and Migrant Workers’ Well-being

This year’s Social Inclusion Leadership Award attracted 71 entries from various industries, making it the most competitive award category. Chung-Hsin Real Estate stood out among strong contenders, including numerous listed companies, to share this honor.

Chairman Mr. Tang-Hsiung Ho stated that as a comprehensive provider of full lifecycle building solutions, Chung Cin Enterprise has a complete home industry supply chain and is committed to transforming its expertise into concrete social actions. The company extends its core value of “caring for employees” into broader community projects that support vulnerable groups, implementing strategies such as resource integration, diverse partnerships, and talent cultivation to maximize the social value of its home industry expertise. This not only meets pressing social needs but also brings tangible well-being to the public.

Since 2023, Chung-Hsin Real Estate has partnered with the Department of Social Affairs of Miaoli County Government to launch the “Fragile Families Support Program”, which assists families with children under 18 years old who do not qualify for existing government aid yet face significant hardships. These families often fall outside the coverage of current social welfare systems. Through this program, Chung-Hsin aims to fill the gap in public resources and offer substantial assistance. By leveraging its core expertise, the company integrates services from its subsidiary Leju Innovation, which provides building maintenance and repair services, including plumbing and electrical inspections, minor home repairs, and essential goods donations, to improve living conditions and ensure a safer and healthier home environment for children. In 2023 alone, 365 households were supported under this initiative, receiving strong positive feedback from beneficiaries and local authorities. The company plans to expand this meaningful program to more regions in the future.

Additionally, facing the construction industry’s ongoing severe labor shortage, Chung Cin Enterprise has brought in several groups of foreign migrant workers to meet industry demands. Recognizing the challenges these workers face — including adapting to a new environment while shouldering heavy workloads — Chung Cin is deeply committed to enhancing migrant worker welfare. The company has invested over NT$100 million to build high-quality dormitories equipped with U.S. medical-grade air purification systems and professional management services, significantly improving living conditions. Furthermore, to address commuting difficulties, dedicated shuttle services are provided to reduce travel time and increase convenience. Through these efforts, Chung-Hsin ensures that migrant workers can live and work in Taiwan with peace of mind, demonstrating the company’s dedication to stabilizing Taiwan’s workforce and promoting sustainable industry operations, thus setting a benchmark for corporate social responsibility.
