The 10th Decor House Award Presented New All-age Concepts in the Post-pandemic Era


The 10th Decor House Award was hosted by Chung Cin Enterprise, Decor House Shopping Center, and HOLA Foundation for Caring & Connection under Test Rite Group. The two-day finals and award ceremony were held on May 28, 29, 2022. The theme of this year was “Homes for All Ages” and attracted 456 entries. The biggest feature of the works is to link pet subject under the epidemic, such as disinfection, odor and elimination of psychological loneliness, etc. The Gold Award works are designed from the perspective of human factors to provide users with the best experience.

Hsieh, general manager of Decor House mentioned, “The Decor House Award has been held for ten years and is committed to promoting the mission inheritance and joint innovation among Taiwan’s design generations. Every year, it integrates industry resources to cultivate talents and build a stage for the younger generation of design students.”

It is worth mentioning that the “Commercialization Workshop” was launched for the first time this year, and three experts from industry and academia were invited to give keynote speeches for the finalists, sharing practical experience from manufacturing process and materials, brand and pricing, international design trends, etc., and provided one-on-one commercialization counseling suggestions, hoping to bring higher and broader design thinking to students.
